Hockey Challenge

In 2015 18 Boys and Girls Teams participated in the ACC Hockey Challenge.

Two venues were used to cater for the large numbers of teams playing on both days. UWA Sports Park and Superturf were used for the Metropolitan Competition and Bunbury Hockey Club for the South West Competition.

Both venues had students from all schools exhibit some outstanding Hockey skills and knowledege. Making the standard of games very high.

Girls Results:

Metropolitan Final: Mercedes def Mandurah Catholic College

South West Final: Bunbury Cathedral Grammar def MacKillop

Mercedes played in the 2015 Buchanan Cup and were unfortunate in the early rounds. This meant their dominant performance after the first round wasnt enough to get them into the Final. But played off for Bronze against Como Secondary College and won 4-1! Well done Girls.

Boys Results:

Metropolitan Final: John XXIII def CBC Fremantle

South West Final: Bunbury Catholic College def Bunbury Cathedral Grammar

Both winning Boys schools entered the David Bell Cup which was held on the 3rd September

John XXIII finished second to Como Secondary College (1-3) in the final.

Bunbury Catholic College finished 6th.
