Australian Football Carnivals

There are two series of lightning carnival competitions coordinated by the ACC, one for Year 7 and one for Year 10.

Rules and Conditions of Play

Unless stated otherwise in the relevant competition booklets, these competitions are played according to the WA Football 2026 Junior Football Rules and Regulations.

 

The Year 7 carnivals take place in Term 2. Carnival pools and structure for both the boys and girls competitions will depend on the number of team nominations.  Carnivals are created on a regional basis. Dates and venues for 2026 are as follows. Please note that venues listed here are TBC and will be confirmed in the information & fixture booklets.

The Yr 10 carnivals are played during Term 3, on Wednesdays.  Teams are made up of Year 10 students only and carnivals are graded into divisions. Dates and venues and schools’ division allocations for 2026 are as follows. Please note that venues listed here are TBC and will be confirmed in the information & fixture booklets.

Although divisional allocations are noted, these are subject to teams’ nominations being received, and team nominations are also welcome from schools not named below. The schools competing in each division will be updated in the table below and noted in the information & fixture booklets once team nominations have closed.
