The Lightning Carnivals aim at providing a sporting event, which gives students of all abilities the opportunity to participate in their chosen sport and to represent their school in accordance with the main aims of the ACC's Constitution.
It specifically caters for those students who do not easily gain selection in the general stream of representative teams. It is a high participation based event where students get to play round robin fixtures against multiple teams.
This year the ACC held winter carnivals in term 2 for Years 7, 8 & 9 students. Sports including soccer, netball, AFL, frisbee, touch rugby and rugby union were played by large numbers across multiple central metro venues.
