A number of ACC schools have taken up the new ACC social media service and have launched Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. In a first for school sport associations in Australia the ACC has integrated social media into the ACC web site with school news feeds automatically flowing through to Twitter and school sport Facebook pages. It is hoped that the new service will help schools to communicate news about their sport programs directly to the community through Facebook and Twitter platforms. Integrating the service within the ACC web site improves security and privacy for the users and provides a nice link back to the association web site where rich content can be accessed.
